I must be getting old, cuz I’ve just retired. No retirement ceremony though.
Radio Chan Wa finally had it’s AGM the other day, so I’m finally an ex now. I’m not that old, why should I retire! I love my job, having to play good music and informing ppl of what going on around town and in the school. I’ve been doing it for the past 2 years! Longer than any other DJ on the committee. I’m going to miss it so…. Just hope the ppl taking over my place will do me proud. *sigh* That’s just one of the many posts I have to let go soon. 1 down 4 to go. The next thing you know, it’s graduation time, SPM and leaving school, and hopefully leaving behind a legecy (dream on…).

I lost my handphone!! Why?? How could I have been so careless!! I hate myself for it, and my mum thinks I don’t care about anything. Just because I don’t show it, doesn’t mean I don’t care! Damn, I hate it when she’s like that. But on anyhow, it was still my fault that it’s gone. It’s been a week since, and I miss her (my phone) everytime I see another phone. I don’t mind not having one, but I’ve got so many important numbers in there that I never wrote down, and now it’s all gone!!! WAaaaaaa… *sob* Well, anyway, what’s gone is gone ; nasi sudah menjadi bubur ; no use crying over spilt potion…
On a lighter note… The 8 Team came to Seremban!!! Yay! I was so excited I even made sure that it was announced during one of the Radio Chan Wa show in school. So yesterday after tuition, I went to the KFC in Temiang to wait for them. A few of my friends were already there (but only 5). If it wasn’t for me, no one would be there! The 8 Team should thank me for promoting for them! Anyway, when they finally arrived, we all ran out to greet them. (Remember last time I wrote about the 8TV trip, 2 of my friends were there too, so we knew who the members of the 8Team were already.) Adam (no, not Adam from the quickie) was there too, I remember him too well, cuz we both love "Queer Eye". Sadly, they were only there for 15 minutes, but they did give out freebies. They said they’re going to be at Jusco, S2 during the weekends, so if they see us(me and me friends) there, they’ll give us more goodies. With that in mind, I might try to be at Jusco then….
8 Team Rocks!!!

It has come and gone. How time flies. Can’t say I’m glad it’s over, but I am relieved. It has been work work work for the pass few weeks. (not all on my behalf though
) I was the MC for the event, but I think I did a sucky job, cuz this was my first attempt at MCing. Just when we thought everything was fine on the day before the Installation, everything started to go wrong. The stage curtains won’t work, the PA had problems, balloons kept bursting…. I was embaressed when the mic started to give problems when Mr Andy Liew (President of the Rotary Club of Seremban) was giving his speech. Damn Malu ar! Even while I was singing, mic problem again. *sigh* For the Installation ceremony, we didn’t even have the mace for the sarjan-at-arms. And as all events(Chan Wa style), the best part was the Demo part, where we all got to the dance floor and danced until the end. The high-light for us , the Interact Committee, was that we managed to get 2 schools from KL to send representatives to our Installation. I was also in charged of Deco, And I’m happy that a lot of ppl said the backdrop that I drew, was very nice. Our theme for this time was "Dream Fantasy" (my idea), so I drew fairies, unicorns and fantasy stuff. Well, none the less, with all it’s downs, I liked it anyway. Our T-shirt design was not bad, plus I really like our colar pin.

Few days ago, I went on yet another trip organized by Radio Chan Wa. We started off at about 8am. On the bus, we had 2 tour guides (which happened to ex-Chan Wa students), which were quite fun. Our first stop was the International Gardens. Nothing much there, but saw an interesting scene. There was this huge dead fish in one of the lakes and a bunch of tortoises were eating it… Next we went to a "chocolate factory", which wasn’t much of. Just a place for us to buy chocolate. Then headed to "Sri Perdana" aka home of our last Prime Minister (Tun Dr Mahathir) to look see. Next was the National Planetarium(after lunch), which was under renovation so not much. But we got to go up the tower.
Finally, the moment we’ve all been waiting for… 8TV/TV3 (Sri Pentas). Felix was our guide for this place. We met with the 8 Team and got lots of goodies.Visited the set for "The Quickie" and "8 e-news". Met Rina, Gary Yap and Yoon. (Some even went to get their autographs)
As we were about to leave, outside was pouring. Felix even got soaked trying to help us get to our bus (thanks so much, Felix).
We got wet too, but it was all worth it, and I’d gladly do it again for a chance to visit 8TV again.

Busy! Just so busy!! With my Interact Club’s 36th Installation coming up and all.Well anyway, on Friday I got a call from Mr Christie Daniels of the Rotary Club. It was to inform me to attend an interview on Sunday regarding the Youth Exchange Program. I had earlier applied for it but as 3 months had gone by, I thought I wasn’t selected. I was really happy. The next day I had to ready up (in other words, study) about all our Malaysian Culture and stuff like that. I prepared myself with sample interview question I got from the Rotary International website. Today, (naturally I didn’t get to go to church, forgive me God) I was the first to be at the place and there was no one there, we thought we got the wrong place. Thank God Mr Daniels turned up a while later. There were 3 other ppl there. We had to sit for a writen test, then a verbal one (which asked all the questioned I practised, yay!).I think I did well. But when Mr Daniels explained about the cost and all, I was shocked. I thought we only had to pay for air-fare, insurance and a few others, but the estimated cost was about 14k!! My parents could never afford that. Looks like my dreams won’t be becoming a reality. *sigh*

P.S. Why?? why does everything have to be about money.

Yay! I’m 17 now! Goodbye Sweet Sixteen… My birthday was on the 17th of February. (I notices that lots of ppl are having birthdays around this time). It was generally fine. I recieved presents from a few good friends, as well a few unexpected ones. I got a new pencil case, wallet, watch, necklace, and earrings (that I can’t wear cuz I haven’t had my ears pierced yet T_T ). Didn’t get cake this year cuz I’m started to think eating too much will be fattening. Then my elder brother came back during the weekend and gave me all of the first 3 Harry Potter movie’s DVD!! Yay! I knew he was already going to buy it for me cuz I’ve been bugging him to. He has after all started working… It’s about time he payed me back. Did you know he has never given me a birthday present before… Well this makes up for all those years.Lol, not that I’m condeming him or anything. My 2nd bro’s birthday in on the 27th, but he’s too busy to come back (or so he says…). We were thinking of going out for a meal together to celebrate both our birthdays, well guess that won’t happen.

Damn this week has been such a busy one. First I had the flower sale on the 14th, now the next day is our Orientation Day on the 15th! 2 big thing in a row! This year’s Orientation was held in the main school’s hall, which is MUCH better than last, when it was in the branch school, in the middle of the cark park, and under the hot sun. I was representing English Language Society again, so I broght along my mum’s laptop to show screenings of movies to the students (cuz one of our activities is watching movies). So many other societies also had laptops (who can live without computer these day?). We managed to get about 30 members (hope they’re not pulling my leg), which was ok I suppose. Even notice a few potential presidents that might help the society in the long run.
I love my society very much and I’d do almost anything to help it grow, I just wished people would take us more seriously. *sigh*

Valentine’s Day!! It would have been really nice to celebrate it with a special someone, but sadly I’m still single and availeble (not that I’m desperate or anything). Well, it’s spending time for all you couples out there, and I was there to cash in on that (don’t hate me cuz I love money
). The English Language Society of SMJK Chan Wa held a flower sale on Valentine’s Day, which turned out to be quite good. It was our first time during it and we didn’t know how the responds would be, so we only ordered 40 roses at first. But after during some publicising, quite a number of ppl alredy placed orders. I had to run around town trying to find another flower shop to buy more roses, on Valentine’s eve. *sigh* Tough job but someone had to do it. Rushed back to school to begin wraping the flowers (oh, and did I mention I had to pay for everything, cuz the society had no funds) with my fellow members. On Valentine’s Day, there was such a huge crowd as we also provided a delivery service. At the end of the day, it was hard work but it all "payed" off, as we were sold out and managed to make a big profit. Thanks to everyone who showed their support!

It’s been so long since I’ve writen here. Well, what can I say, Chinese New Year has come and gone just like Christmas, only slower (but not slow enough). Had an overall great time. Visiting was fun, nice to be able to get out of the house and go somewhere other than school. My uncle and family stay over night as usual for reunion dinner, had the 2 little kids in the house (but had to give up my room for that). Not that I’m very money minded or anything (maybe a little), but I noticed that ang pau money has been reduced for some ppl I know who usually are very "generous" (if you know what I mean). Well, the economy must be getting worse (best accuse for everything, huh?). But surprisingly, my dad is giving more instead (shhhhh…). Had a little bad news in the family recently, but hopefully everyone will be able to pull through, with God’s will. Well, with that, we enter the new year (again…) and enter …..FEBRUARY! Love this month, not only is it the month of LOVE, but I know quite a few ppl having birthdays in this month (hint hint *wink* *wink*). I just love birthdays, gives me more reason to celebrate. Wish we could celebrate something everyday…
