My New Dog!

Thursday, November 24th, 2005

Well, after months of griefing, we have finally decided to get a new dog…
The other day when my parents were going to KL, so we mad a trip to PAWS. For those who don’t know, PAWS (Paws Animal Welfare Society) is like a animal shelter. We did visit SPCA Selangor before, but the fees for a dog was like hundred over, and that was way too expensive for my parents. PAWS on the other hand, only needed a minimal RM50 "donation" for the dog. The living conditions there was worst than SPCA (another factor to why we chose PAWS), and they needed our help more. We originally wanted a puppy of about 2-3 months, but the pups there can only be adopted from about 4 months(I think). There wasn’t much choice though, and my mum wanted a short haired female dog. I was fine with anything, so she chose a brown cross-bred with big ears of about 4-5 months old.
The journey home was ok, she didn’t make it hard for us. But the minute we got home, she was so hyper active, she couldn’t sit still for once! Well, I know that’s expected, but till this day, she is still as hyper-active whenever we open the door. She also has a bad habiat of wanting to bite our hands and toes…After much discussion, and disatisfaction from my 2nd bro (he’s always not around anyway). My mum has finally decied on the dog’s name : Fifi… I know it may sound funny or common, but it’s damn cute… :P

Well anyway, happy to have her. She helps me to deal with the loss.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire Premier at Midvalley

Tuesday, November 15th, 2005

OMG! I’ve watched the Movie already! Muahahaha! Take that all you ppl who are watching it on the 17th! (Well I did get to watch it first…) I saw so many celebrities there like : Adam(OMG! I can’t believe he dyed his hair! It’s ugly!) , Marion, Naz and Rina from 8TV, Vick, Victor and Daniel from Malaysian Idol, (saw Jojo’s signature)… I wanted to go take some pics with them, but they were all so busy with the press and shows all, and also because I was too shy… :P
My show was the 8:30 session so we went in at 8pm… It was so cold! Luckily I had my scarf (yes, I finally finished it!), but it was shared between 4 ppl (me, dad & 2 bros)…
The movie ended at 11:15 or so…
So anyway about the film, sad to say it was a little disappointing. Sure it had great special effects and all, but not only did they cut a lot of the book, they also changed quite a few things, which shouldn’t have been! And the Quidditch World Cup! There practically didn’t have any quidditch…. *sign* And the Triwizard Tournament, they made Fleur look so weak… And the whole movie was so rushed! *sign* Well, theres not much I can do, but I’m still a Harry Potter freak non the less….. Overall, they movie was not bad. More suitable for those who have never read the book.

Harry Potter roadshow at Terminal 1

Saturday, November 12th, 2005

I was at the Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire roadshow today. I went with my friend, Nadratun, and also managed to meetup with a few others. The programes of the roadshow was suppose to start at 2pm, but they only start it at 2:35pm. Well, that’s the Malaysian style, no event is even really on time.
Well the first in line was the story telling. After being pushed by one another, me and 3 other friends decided to join. We were suppose to continue a story from where each participant stoped. My friends were like all going "What!!??".(No offence, but their not that good at speaking English, which they admited themselves) So even though, I was so nervous, I just blured out a few lines until the MC stoped me. The results were based on the crowd. Well, needless to say I didn’t win, but did get a little prize for my effort (HP Dicers, what ever that is?).
Next was movie trivia, prizes : HP posters and GSC passes, but having already entered a contest, they wouldn’t let us answer any of the questions. After that was the ballroom dancing event, where 3 couples were to dance ballroom style. A mother and son team won.
After a 5 minutes break, it was movie trivia again. There wasn’t a big crowd there, so they had to give us (those who already won something) another go. So I managed to get me another poster.
It was really fun, those of us who had already won something were also allowed to take a picture dress in Hogwarts’ robes and with  the Triwizard’s Cup for free, that includes me! Not to mention we also got free stick on tatoos…3hp404

Harry Potter Premier, here I come!

Tuesday, November 1st, 2005

OMG!!! I can’t believe it! I just won tickets to the Malaysian Premier of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire! MIX FM had the giveaway recently. I was trying the whole day, but I didn’t really expect to get through. I even got my mum and dad to help me (cuz we’ve got a few phones in the house). Finally the phone that my mum was dialing got answered, so she quickly passed it to me. I was so nervous and excited that when he asked me some questions, I got tongue-tied. most of my anwers were ok. Then he the DJ asked me the question to put me in the running to win a replica of the Triwizard’s cup: What was the object that Harry was suppose to retrive from the Hungarian Horntail? The Golden Egg. Then I had to give my best rendition of a spell. I was so nervous I shouted out the first thing that came to my head : EXPECTO PETRONUM! After putting down the phone, we(me, my mum & dad) were all jumping and laughing for joy! Just so happy winning the tickets. I don’t care that much about the winning the cup, though it would be an added bonus….
