Malaysian Idol 2 = bad voting

Sunday, September 25th, 2005

I can’t believe Daniel won! (actually I did half expect him to win, even though I didn’t want to) Nita did so well for her performance at the Malaysian Idol finals. Hello, did anyone hear the amount of out of key note when he sang mimpi? Nita’s version was way better by about 200%! Have the people gone deaf!!??
Well, anyway, what’s done is done, I guess the fans of Daniel must out number the ppl who recognise talent. (And btw, the finale wasn’t as grand as last year’s)
Earlier this week, on the radio show I hosted in school, I was just on the subject of Malaysian Idol. I expressed my dissatisfaction of Farah being voted out when she was clearly the most talented one of the lot and also the fact that Daniel was bad. I had so much feedback, both positive and negative. But it was my show and my opinion, anyone who didn’t like it can kiss my @$$, cuz I ain’t taking it back.
On the other hand, glad to see the idols from season one make a great performance, I missed them sooo much. Espacially Andrew cuz he reminds me so much of my brother and that never fails to make me laugh. Did you know, I once met Vick? Yep, it was during the lauching of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince(loved it), where he and I both joined the same game. But he wouldn’t remember me.
Well, that marks the end of Malaysian Idol 2. Hopefully I take part someday(not that I’m any good), but for now only heaven knows what’s in store for Daniel…..

Ban Dog Killings!!!

Tuesday, September 20th, 2005

Strays are everywhere, but you don’t just go around shoting them right!!??
There has been a few stary dogs running around in my school lately, but there’s this one praticular one that has an injured ear. I think he was in accident of some kind, and now his ear is like dangling from his head (think Nearly Headless Nick from Harry P). It’s a really ugly sight, not to mention the smell….
While everyone runs (or in my friend’s case, jumps) from him whenever he comes, Ijust can’t help feeling sorry for him. It’s not like he’s done anything wrong, he just walks around. Well today, while quietly doing my work in the Library, BANG! And the cry of a dog.  Immediately I knew, he had been shot. As I ran to the scene, I passed the trail of blood which made my heart ache. I saw the MPS people connering it in a room at the back of the school, but the view was blocked. How could they be so inhuman! Couldn’t they catch him and put him down peacefully? Instead of him being shot and be in pain while waiting for death…. May He Rest in Peace.
One day, I’m going to change all of this. Malaysia should have a police force for SPCA, like they do in America.

My first!!

Sunday, September 18th, 2005

Well, it’s my first time writing in a blog. Nothing intersting happened to me today, but I’ll just sum up some stuff that happened this week. As most might know, I’m the President of the English Language Society. It’s hard work….. Was so busy trying find a suitable date for an activity, and so many stuff kept coming up. It was either teachers not free or letter problems, time and my other commitments.
Then the Interact Club had a meeting with the Distruct Rotary Club at the Royal Adelphi Hotel. I was forced to attend because the President cannot speak good enough English(no offencce)… But in the end, I was glad I went. We got to meet other Interactors from KGV, Kolej Tunku Jaafar and Methodist High School, not the mention the Rotary Club committee. We had to give a breif report on what we did before and what we plan to do. I was so nervous cuz we didn’t prepare anthing. But it was ok. I wanna go for the Interact Conferance in November, cuz there are going to be ppl from UNICEF there to give a talk…. I can’t wait! But exams are coming up, so it’s time to continue studying……
